Security & Trust
Protecting your personal and financial information is at the core of how we built LendWise.

Bank-Grade Encryption
All data in transit is protected with 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption, the same standard used by major financial institutions. Sensitive data at rest is encrypted as well.
Soft Credit Checks
Checking your rate only ever performs a soft credit inquiry, which is visible only to you and never affects your credit score. A hard inquiry only happens if you choose to move forward with a full application.
Independent Security Audits
Our systems undergo regular penetration testing and independent security audits to identify and remediate vulnerabilities before they become risks.
24/7 Fraud Monitoring
Automated systems continuously monitor account activity for unusual behavior, with our fraud team ready to respond around the clock.
You Control Your Data
We only collect the information required to evaluate your application and service your loan. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
Licensed & Regulated
LendWise (NMLS #1234567) is a licensed lending platform and Equal Housing Lender, operating in compliance with state and federal consumer lending regulations.
How Your Loan Is Funded
LendWise is a financial technology company, not a bank. Personal loans made through our platform are originated by our partner banks and, once funded, may be serviced by LendWise or one of our loan servicing partners. This structure lets us combine bank-level regulatory oversight with a faster, more transparent borrower experience.
Loans are subject to credit approval. Rates, terms, and origination fees vary by state and applicant qualifications, and not every applicant will be approved. For example, a $10,000 loan with a 36-month term and a 15.99% APR (which may include an origination fee) would carry an estimated monthly payment of around $351, for a total repayment of approximately $12,650 over the life of the loan. Your actual rate and terms will depend on your credit profile and other factors and may differ from this example.
